Why I've Fallen out of Love with Photography.

This is a very touchy convo. I know there are many people in the world that would love to be able to produce the photography that I do, and also have the knowledge that I do on the subject. I started at a very young age and have always had a passion for shooting things that sometimes the eye/mind doesn't realize it's looking at. The angles, the beauty, and the meaning that can be behind a stunning photo.

Now, I'm not the person that normally sticks to one thing; as bad as that sounds. I love change, and I fall in love each and every day with how there are so many things to experience. If I stick with something for a great amount of time, you know I love that thing. I had one job that I loved, till something came along that I thought was going to be more exciting and new to me, and I left that job for Sephora. Don't get me wrong, I love makeup, and I always will. But you can check out the post here that I talk about why retail isn't for a person like me.

Back to the topic, though, we were talking about photography, right? Right. I have done photography since I was young, and the damn thing was my favorite forever and a day. I started my business around 3 years ago, and it went full force since then. But why did I fall out of love with photography? Because I took to much of it on at once.

I never understood why people charged so much for pictures, till this started happening. When you charge less, you take on a lot of people, then those people don't understand that you also had 10 more shoots that same week. I can't say everyone was like that, though, I've experienced some awesome people along the way. I am thankful for you because you are the reason I just haven't up and sold my camera and gave it all up together. So, I am here for anyone that is getting into the business to tell you that if you really love it, don't let people walk all over you. If you make a mistake, yeah, fix it and offer whatever you can to fix it. Life happens, you can't change that, and you're going to have the people that don't understand. But that's okay because there is going to be people that do.

Charge the price you really think your work and photography is worth, and you will attract the right clients and some that will stick around with you forever. Don't let the bad parts get you down, just keep pushing along. Trust me, if you need a break from it, take a break. I can't name how many times I've taken a break. Yes, I've lost clients from it, but it gave me the time I needed to really breathe and focus on my wants and needs than focusing on what other people want all the time.

Thank you to the clients that keep me still going to this day, but I have fallen out of love with photography. If you're getting into the business, the best of luck to you. Just remember to put your put down, and focus on what's best for you.

The whole point of this business is to focus, so you got to do that.
